FROM IDENTIFYING THE LEAK TO CONTAINMENT
In most cases the source of water damage is obvious, however on occasion the source is uncertain.
Our first goal is to identify the cause or source of the water damage and take the necessary actions to stop and repair it. Secondly, we gather and pump all excess water and/or sewage and salvage any contents and materials. Next, we will remove all unsalvageable contents, then test for contamination (especially important in sewage damage) and begin the sanitation process.

RESTORATION
We use only the latest in professional equipment to extract the water and dry out the premises.
Powerful dehumidifiers are strategically placed to provide high velocity air movement throughout the affected area. Once we have the premises completely dry and all infected materials are removed the restoration process will begin. Our focus is ensuring that mold will not grow as a result of the water damage. Our objective is to restore the water damaged area to its original condition guaranteeing that you, the customer, are completely satisfied with our work!

FAQs

Q: We had a sump pump malfunction during the recent warm rainy weekend and had some basement flooding. The pump was repaired and the water removed. What is the best way to dry the basement?

A: The best way to dry things out is to get air moving and suck out any moisture in the air by using fans and dehumidifiers. If there is carpet in the basement, the under pad needs to be taken out, as that is where water will be held. If there is drywall in basement that was affected this should be removed as well. The longer moisture is present, the more chance there is for mold to grow. Which means, anything affected from the water needs to be dried or removed to prevent this.

Q: What are the risks when going on vacation?

A: For homes that are in colder climates, the pipes could be easily damaged and destroyed by the cold. This can lead to more serious problems, especially if you are not at home. If you go on vacation for a long period of time, be sure that you have the temperature down to the minimum but still on. Be sure to have someone check on the property regularly to ensure that the pipes haven’t frozen or that they haven’t burst. Water damage can occur because of a broken pipe or any adverse weather condition such as rain.

Q: I noticed I have water staining on the drywall in basement, and am worried I have a leak somewhere, what should I do?

A: The first thing you should do is bring in a restoration company to access the damage and make sure no mold growth has started. From there, they can assist in identifying the source of the damage. Typically it will be a waterproofing issue with the foundation and a waterproofing company will need to be brought in to fix the issue.

Q: I have a yellow mark in the ceiling of the dining room, is this from water?

A: Yes, yellow-staining in most cases in a sign of water damage. If the attic is above, there could be a ventilation issue that is causing moisture issues or there could be a leak in the roof. In this case, an insulation company should be brought in to take a look. If there is another floor level of the home and there is a bathroom above, there could be a plumbing issue, in which a plumber needs to be contacted.  In either case, the water damaged areas needs to be addressed by a restoration company, and ensure no mold growth has started.

Q: A pipe burst in my basement and I now have flooding. I turned off the main water valve but do not know what the next step is!

A: We first need to get the water out of the basement and clear the area. Dehumidifiers and air movers need to be put in place to start drying out the basement and any affected materials need to be removed.  The main thing is getting everything that is wet out so no mold growth can start and cause further issues! A plumber also needs to come in to fix the pipe before any reconstruction begins and everything is put back in order.
